MORE BULLSHIT YOU SWALLOWED WITH YOUR CORN FLAKES
PART II: THE MAN WHO WON A WAR THAT WON’T STOP
(America vs Iran, February - July 2026)
The world is at a dinner party.
The host brought a gun, shot out his own windows, and is now standing in the rain telling everyone the house is fine.
Everybody at the table can see the glass on the floor. Nobody is saying anything. They are looking at each other. They are looking at their plates.
Iran is standing in the doorway, bleeding, holding a piece of the window frame, looking at the guests and saying,
“Yeah. We don’t know either.”
28 February 2026
“To prevent this very wicked, radical dictatorship from threatening America”
President Trump, White House statement, 28 Feb 2026
The United States and Israel launched Operation Epic Fury without consulting NATO. No imminent threat was cited beyond four decades of chanting. The Joint Chiefs warned Trump that Iran would close the Strait of Hormuz. He dismissed it. Said they would capitulate. They did not.
4 March 2026
“Nobody expected that. We were shocked.”
President Trump, on Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz
False. The Joint Chiefs told him. Intelligence told him. Analysts told him. He was briefed. He waved it away.
Iran shut Hormuz on day four. Twenty percent of the world’s seaborne oil, gone. Shipping insurance quadrupled in a week.
Nobody was shocked except the man who started it.
6 March 2026
“There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
Truth Social, 6 March 2026
Written in block capitals on a social media platform while the strait was closed, tankers were being hit, and oil prices were climbing through the ceiling.
Iran did not surrender.
9 March 2026
“The war is very complete, pretty much. Iran’s military has been destroyed. The Strait of Hormuz is open.”
President Trump, 9 March 2026
False. The strait was closed. Only 15 ships had made it through in a week. Iran was still launching drones. The IRGC was still boarding vessels. Six days later, Trump asked NATO and China to send warships to help reopen it.
You do not ask for help opening something that is already open.
8 April 2026
“Epic Fury was a historic and overwhelming victory on the battlefield. A capital-V military victory.”
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Pentagon press conference
Iran’s regime was still in charge. The strait was still contested. Iran was now charging transit fees. Stocks of enriched uranium remained under Iranian control. Three thousand people were dead in Iran, over two thousand in Lebanon, thirteen US service members killed.
Capital-V Victory. Lower-case-r reality.
17 June 2026
“That’s Fake News! All there is for the U.S. is Success, Lower Oil Prices, and Victory.”
Truth Social, 18 June 2026
The memorandum of understanding gave Iran sanctions relief and economic benefits in exchange for promising to let ships through a strait that was open before the war started. No nuclear concessions. No verified restrictions. Iran’s regime, which Trump had called for Iranians to overthrow, was formally recognised as a negotiating partner.
The MOU was, by any sober reading, a Hormuz deal dressed as a peace deal. Iran got paid to stop doing something it only started doing because America attacked it.
19 June 2026
Israel continued strikes in southern Lebanon. Iran closed the strait again. The ceasefire was three days old.
8 July 2026
“I think it’s over. I don’t want to deal with them anymore. They’re liars.”
President Trump, NATO summit, Ankara
At the same summit, he called Iran’s leaders scum, sick, vicious, violent, cancer, cheats, cuckoo, and evil. In June, he had called them “very rational people” who were “nice to deal with.”
What changed?
“I got to know them.”
He also told NATO allies he was “not happy” with them for not helping. He had not consulted them before starting the war. Italy turned him down. Germany turned him down. France turned him down. Spain blocked its airspace.
He called Spain “a horror show” and demanded all trade be cut.
10 July 2026
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has asked us to continue ‘talks.’ We have agreed to do so, but the United States has stated to them, in no uncertain terms, that the Cease Fire is OVER!”
Truth Social, 10 July 2026
Hours later, Iran’s foreign ministry denied requesting talks. They said they had agreed to host a Qatari delegation. Not the same thing.
This is now routine. Trump announces. Iran denies. The world watches the gap between two versions of events and wonders which country has the functioning chain of command.
12 July 2026
TAPPER: Iran has declared the Strait of Hormuz closed. Is that true?
TRUMP: It’s open as far as we’re concerned. Don’t talk about it.
WELKER: Iran says the Strait of Hormuz is closed. CENTCOM says it’s open.
TRUMP: I don’t want to talk about it.
He does not want to talk about it.
The Strait of Hormuz has not returned to even one-third of its pre-war traffic. Oil prices posted their biggest weekly rise in eight months. Forty-five million additional people are now facing acute food insecurity from the war’s cascading effects. Iran is collecting transit fees on a waterway it controlled before any of this started.
The man who won the war does not want to talk about it.
Iran looks at the world.
The world looks at Iran.
Nobody says what everybody can see.
The house is fine. The windows are fine. Everything is fine.
Don’t talk about it.
